         Beautiful Browns of Fall Color of November.   Sugar Maple leaves are colorful from mid to late October.  Oak leaves turn color later than Sugar Maple leaves.  Oaks have beautiful browns in late October to early November.  See my photos of fall colors, in my daily blog.

 

         Nature and Art Classes.  This fall, I'm teaching two in-person classes and two online classes.  The classes are within the "Galien Valley Nature and Culture Program," I sign my photos and education materials as the "Pocket Pumpkin Press," the Galien Valley webpages are on the "z-hub z-design" website, and the "ABC Garden" is the set of nature and art activities that I teach.   See sample topics of my classes that I'm teaching this fall, in my daily blog.

 

         Support Birds, Butterflies, and Wildlife.  Native trees support birds, butterflies, and wildlife.  While we can't directly hand food to wildlife and keep wildlife in our houses, we can plant native trees.  Plant native trees, and not just any trees.  Many birds, butterflies, and other wildlife get their food and shelter from native trees, such as the White Oak (Quercus alba), the Wild Black Cherry (Prunus serotina), and the Black Willow (Salix nigra), native trees to Michigan and northeast USA (Wisconsin to Maine, Illinois to New Jersey).   Read more about native trees, in my daily blog.

         Rainbows and Moonbows.   On October 7, 2022, I was excited to see a full rainbow, in the day, and a moonbow, at night.  A "moonbow" / "lunar rainbow" is a rainbow at night, when it's raining and a full moon is low in the sky.  I never saw or heard of a "moonbow" before, but now I have.  See my photos of rainbows and moonbows in my daily blog.

 

         Rainbow Colors of Sugar Maples.   This October was colorful, not only because of the rainbow and moonbow, but also because of the fall color of Sugar Maple trees.   See my photos of a rainbow of colors of Sugar Maples, in my daily blog.

         Native Plants vs. Exotic Plants.   The above photo shows a meadow of the Canadian Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis), which is native to Michigan, northeastern USA, and some of Canada.  Native Michigan plants support Michigan butterflies, birds, and other wildlife.  Exotic plants are plants that are from other parts of the world.  See my photos of native and exotic plants that grow in Michigan — see my photos in my daily blog.

 

         Nature and Art Classes.  Over ten years ago, I started the Galien Valley Nature and Culture Program and, more recently, the ABC Garden to teach nature-science classes and nature-art classes including "Habitats and Wildlife" and "Nature and the Community Arts."  Next week, I will begin teaching fall classes again.  See my photos of recent years of my classes, some of which I will teach again, this fall — see my photos in my daily blog.

         Wild Animals, Native to Michigan.   Michigan has many beautiful, cute, and amazing wild animal species.  See my photos of a few of Michigan's many splendid animals and the names of the animals, in my daily blog.

 

         Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, and Amphibians.  Recently, I've seen many White-tailed Deer, Green Frogs, Robins, and several other birds.  See my photos of a funny Raccoon, curious Deer, a baby bunny, a baby Robin in a nest, adorable frogs and baby turtles, and more animals, in my daily blog.

         Beaches of North Carolina.  In July, for a week, I visited North Carolina's barrier islands, which are called the Outer Banks.  I explored the Atlantic Ocean beaches, near the tallest lighthouse in the USA: the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.  See my photos of the fun and beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches, in my daily blog.

         Flowers in Spring.  Daffodils in April, Tulips in May, and Irises in June.  There are even the dark-red pawpaw flowers and other native Michigan wildflowers.  See my photos of several spring flowers, in my daily blog.
