Yummy Juneberries and Late Spring Flowers.
My family enjoys eating native wild edible plants, including the berries from the Juneberry tree (Amelanchier arborea). Meanwhile, many flowers are blooming on woody trees and non-woody herbaceous plants, in the woods, in town, on roadsides, and in the prairies. See selected June flower photos, in my daily blog. Hot, Dry Spring 2021 - Feels like Summer. It's already felt like summer, like August, hot and dry. Michigan did not get much rain this spring 2021. The hot sunny days have warmed up the lake early. We've had some nice summer beach days, already. Lake Michigan's southern coastal surface water has been nicely warm (68 degrees F) to swim in, during some hot days this June. Most years, the water temperature still lingers in the 50 degrees. See June Spring photos, in my daily blog. Enjoy.
