         Look Up: Stars in the Night Sky.  In the late fall, night continues to get longer every day until the solstice.  In December, in Michigan, there are about 15 hours of the dark sky of night.   Plenty of time to stargaze, before bedtime.  See my photos of constellations and the starry night sky, in my daily blog.

         Look Down: Fallen Leaves on the Ground.  By December, most of the leaves have fallen off the trees and onto the ground.  Various fruits are on the ground too: acorns, winged-seeds, and more.   See my photos of fallen leaves, etc., in my daily blog.

         40 Sustainability Categories.  Every month of 2024 features ABC Garden lessons, including my actions within 5 of the 40 Sustainability Categories.  My December blog post displays a recap of each of the 40 Sustainability Categories.  For over 20 years, I've been taking action in the 40 Sustainability Categories - to sustain people, nature, economies, and local communities.  See a small sampling of my recent photos (past 10 years) of how I've been taking actions within the 40 Sustainability Categories, in my daily blog.
