July 2022 - summer!

summerbeautiful, fun, beaches of North Carolina, mountains and waterfalls of West Virginia, outdoors of Michigan, and more.

Check out my daily blog for the month of July 2022 (Siloi 2022). My blog shows various activities that I do in science, art, nature, culture, land stewardship,
culture, education, ecology, economy, health, and in learning about holistic good, morals, and beyond. I post several photos. Enjoy!

Beaches of North Carolina.  In July, for a week, I visited North Carolina's barrier islands, which are called the Outer Banks.  I explored the Atlantic Ocean beaches, near the tallest lighthouse in the USA: the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse.  See my photos of the fun and beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches, in my daily blog.

Mountains and Waterfalls of West Virginia.  While traveling between Michigan and North Carolina, I visited New River Gorge National Park, in West Virginia.  See my photos of beautiful views of the river, mountains, and waterfalls of West Virginia, in my daily blog.

Outdoors of Michigan.  Michigan has some wonderful outdoor places too.  See my photos that compare and contrast the amazing outdoors of Michigan, North Carolina, and West Virginia, in my daily blog.

         Happy Summer! July-August-September

  1. Sorry for my delay in viewing. I noticed that on the daily for July 18, the date is listed as January - oops (http://www.z-hub.org/zle-blog/z2022/22-07siloi.html). For you seasonal wall feature, which I love, it would be better to take out the negative and instead write in the positive when referencing why you list the season as you do "I do not follow the commercial and trendy-academic
fake-summer". Try instead "I follow the astronomical and meteorological summer..". In your summer flowers for MI, I love that you included the chestnut tree as many do not think of trees as having flowers. I also love the comparison between NC and MI flowers. The comparison between beaches between the two locales is also very interesting. Perhaps a few words about why these two coast lines have different shores or why all shores are not the same would be informative. The fossil photo is incredible. People can relate to collecting shells, but fossils would be so new to so many. I am one of the many who did not know that MI had such a long coastline - very cool. Overall, nice comparison between the two states coastlines, MI and NC. Some may never get to visit both or either and if they do, now that can appreciate the comparisons.
