Colorful Trees in Fall.   This fall, in Michigan, leaves changed color later than usual.  Commonly, in southern Michigan, about October 20th to November 5th is most colorful.  To the contrary, this year, trees were the most colorful from October 30 (about Halloween) to November 15th.  Crazy: in some cases color change happened a month later, than last year.  For instance, my front yard Sugar Maple peaked in fall color on Oct 5th, last year, which was earlier than usual.  This year, my front yard Sugar Maple peaked in fall color on Nov 10th, this year, much later than usual. My blog has my photos of colorful fall leaves and the weekly change of color on trees.  See my photos of fall color 2021, in my daily blog.

The leaves slowly changed color.  But it was fun to find baby turtles, on different days.  To my delight, I held a baby Snapping Turtle (Chelydra serpentina), a baby Wood Turtle (Glyptemys insculpta), and a baby Spiny Softshell Turtle (Apalone spinifera).   See my photos of baby turtles, in my daily blog.
